Welcome to Koah Hall
Koah Hall is a fantastic community space servicing the lively Koah community and surrounding areas of Mareeba, Kuranda and Speewah.
Set on the 2.5 acres of Musumeci Park it consists of Koah's Ark Nature Playground, tennis/ basketball court, large grass/ dirt field /car park and toilets, boxes of equipment for tennis, basketball, football, table tennis, all open to the public on a daily basis, and of course the Hall itself.
The Koah Hall is home to a varied number of weekly classes, casual workshops, one off events and happenings as well as being available for hire by the public for parties, weddings, anniversaries etc at very reasonable hire rates.
The Hall boasts weekly classes in Yoga, Circus, Pilates, Dance, Fighting Fit, monthly men’s group meetings, Parent and Bub gatherings, Home school groups, Freedom dance events, Rola Disco’s and Circus shows created by award winning Dream State Entertainment and yearly events like the hosting of the Festival of Small Halls in conjunction with Wordfordia and other world class events.
Not only is Koah Hall a great venue it also contains a Commercial Kitchen that can be hired separately to prepare food items for sale, or as part of event bookings.
The Koah Monthly Markets also calls the Koah hall home. They take place on the first Saturday of every month apart from Jan and Feb, so each calendar year the markets start the first Saturday in March.
The Koah Hall building was built by the community back in the day and is owned by Mareeba Shire Council. It is managed by The Koah Sports and Social Club Inc. Committee. The Committee is comprised purely of volunteers from a cross section of the community, we are always looking for energetic new members and the AGM happens once a year in February.
In summation Koah Hall is a vibrant community hub catering for many aspects of our community.
