The Koah Sports and Social Club Committee,
with the assistance of Mareeba Shire Council, have been successful in obtaining funding from the Queensland Governments “Get Playing, Places and Spaces” program for stage 1 of our
Musumeci Park masterplan.
This project was initiated by the Koah community led planning process, and aims to provide
a "nature play" playground incorporating more than 20 individual play elements, landscaping, and shade
to enhance the sports and recreation values and activities at Musumeci Park.
In all (including contributions from Council and the State government) we will have over $130,000
to build the playground and enhance the surrounding landscape.
